Lake Superior Writers Presents

Peer Review of Writing: How to do it so it helps!

 Saturday, March 7, 2015
1-4 pm at the Marshall Professional Building
Felicia Schneiderhan, Instructor

www.lakesuperiorwriters.org

The awkward moment in your writing group: How do I tell her there’s something missing in her story?

Have you wondered, How can I make suggestions that will really help him?

Sometimes it’s even harder to know how to respond to a critique of your own work: Should I do everything he suggests? Does she really mean it when she says, “It’s fine?”

In this workshop, Felicia will lead you in exercises that will help you respond to your peer’s writing and give you tips on how to listen to and benefit from the comments of others. Participants should bring to the workshop at least one typed sample of your writing. Any genre, at least 250 words. The workshop is free to Lake Superior Writers members; $35 to non-members who become members upon payment. There are a maximum number of spaces. To register, visit www.lakesuperiorwriters.org, or contact Marty Sozansky at msozansk@d.umn.edu, or by calling 218-341-4363.
